Maple Weekend

This is the shack that they boil the sap into syrup.

We took a wagon ride into the sugar bush.  They have 2500 trees that were tapped.  I had no idea they don't use buckets anymore.  They use tubing that is connected, runs downhill and empties into a big drum.  Sometimes they have to wake in the middle of the night to empty it.

Puzzles

Law loves doing puzzles and this is his latest one, 100 pieces all by himself.  

Glasses

Carter had his eye exam a couple weeks ago and found out he is far-sighted.  Here are some pictures of his new glasses.  He will turn 5 next Sunday and I just can't believe it.  People tell you it goes by fast, but not until you live it do you believe it.  Wasn't he just learning to talk?  Now he is learning to read and adding.  He loves inventing things out of legos and his favorite topic is space.  He is inquisitive, compassionate and has a spirit for helping.
